A Fire Inside

In this piece of art, you will find out how I feel with all of these situations inside my head. You will also find out how it was made.

Before we did anything, Mr. Dmytruk (art consultant, Consulting Services) talked to us and showed us Picasso’s portrait. He told us that we are going to do the same thing.

After he talked to us, we began by drawing our faces with pastel, making sure everything was connected to another line so later on it would stay in one piece.

After that was done we cut out all of the big black chunks of paper without any lines on them.

Next, we took newspaper articles and headlines and pasted them on white paper. Then we took our cut-out faces and put them on top of the pasted newspaper headlines.

When everything was pasted we used a red Sharpie and wrote words that expressed our feelings with all of these news stories in our heads.

So as you can see this piece of art represents our thoughts in a different way.
